What exactly is the process you use to clean the gown?
We have several different processes that are used for cleaning. Each gown is evaluated upon its arrival and the best cleaning process for that particular gown is used. All of our processes are safe, gentle, and environmentally safe. Your gown is then fitted on an acid-free bust form and packed in our acid-neutral preservation chest. Please note shoulder pads and bust pads must be removed as they could cause damage to the gown over time. They will be wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and packed underneath your gown.
What are the benefits of preserving my wedding gown? Can’t I just keep it in a dress bag in my closet?
It makes storing your dress much easier. This is an eco-friendly, gentle process that eliminated the risk of the fabric yellowing or stretching and prevents any future damage from stains or elements, as long as the provided instructions are followed. Storing your dress in a bag leaves it vulnerable to moisture and dust which can cause damage and stains.
Will all of my stains be removed with your process?
We are able to remove approximately 95% of stains, including blood, perspiration, grass, mud, grease, and food being the most common, as well as any sugar stains from cake icing, wine, and other beverages. We do our best to tackle all stains in our process, however, the earlier they are treated, the higher the chances of them coming out.
What else can I add with my gown in the box?
You may also have your veil, headpiece, gloves, garter, or handkerchief placed in the box with your gown. Additional charges may apply.
What areas does your Wedding Gown Preservation service pickup from and deliver to?
We can pick up your wedding dress as long as you are in or near Gwinnett. Areas located outside this city may be subject to an additional pickup and delivery charge, if the area is eligible at all.
